Founded in 2016 by Draupadi Sangram Gawale, Ramamata Bahuddeshiya Sevabhavi Sanstha is committed to the social, educational, and economic empowerment of marginalised communities across Maharashtra, with a special focus on the Marathwada region. The organisation is known for its grassroots engagement and impactful rights-based work.

Objectives

Promote social, educational, and economic rights of marginalised women

Provide access to legal aid, welfare schemes, and livelihood opportunities

Strengthen women’s leadership and encourage collective action

Support women in challenging harmful customs and adopting a scientific outlook
Key Activities

Organising awareness drives for domestic workers and supporting their registration with the Domestic Workers' Welfare Board

Assisting women facing violence, injustice, or marital issues through police, legal, and emotional support

Facilitating employment fairs, SHG formation, financial linkages, and training for income generation

Supporting access to social security schemes, including pensions, subsidies, and MGNREGA job cards

Key Achievements

Organised over 18,000 women and 22,000 workers to claim their rights and entitlements

Supported 144 SHGs in accessing working capital and loans ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹4,00,000; facilitated loans for 176 women through state development corporations

Registered 14,800 workers under MGNREGA, generating 6.6 lakh person-days of employment

Secured pensions for 2,382 beneficiaries under government schemes

Addressed 278 cases of domestic violence with legal aid and counselling support

Facilitated legal divorces and resolved 342 marital disputes

Enabled 52 women to launch their own livelihood enterprises
