Mahamaya Mahila Samajik Sanstha
Founded by Meera Vitthal Sapkale in 2013, the Trust operates primarily in Thane district, with a focus on Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, Badlapur, and Kalyan. It is dedicated to improving the lives of domestic workers and other unorganised workers by advocating for their rights and facilitating access to essential services

Objectives

To organise domestic workers and other unorganised labourers, and address issues affecting their rights and livelihoods

To combat injustice, exploitation, and domestic violence faced by domestic workers and marginalised women

To assist in obtaining Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, ration cards, bank passbooks, and accessing government schemes
-
To provide training programmes for employment skills and leadership development for women
Key Activities

Forming unions of domestic workers and unorganised labourers to collectively address their issues

Registering domestic workers with the Domestic Workers Welfare Board

Addressing cases of exploitation and domestic violence through legal and emotional support

Assisting domestic workers in accessing government welfare schemes

Conducting skill development and leadership training for women

Forming self-help groups to promote the economic empowerment of domestic workers

Educating workers on voter rights, constitutional rights, cybersecurity, and civic amenities

Providing employment training for children of unorganised workers
