Prayas Ek Koshish is a registered social organisation committed to protecting human rights and promoting gender equality. Founded by Ashish Shigwan, the organisation has spent the past decade working to bring positive change to 18 slum communities across Mumbai.

Secured the prestigious PUKAR research fellowship for domestic workers, focusing on their health and rights
Initiated a kitchen enterprise run by domestic workers to promote economic empowerment
Formed a federation of domestic workers to raise awareness and demand essential services
Established the first transgender self-help group, supporting economic and social inclusion
